We have been serving patients in the many surrounding cities in and around Orange County, California. Located in the heart of Westminster, California, our office has patients from Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Diego counties who drive despite the distance to seek quality care.

Clean, modern, and efficient space is utilized to treat you and your loved ones. Comfortable and convenient sitting spaces are available for accompanying family members as you complete your appointment.

An orthodontist completes several additional years of specialized training after dental school, choosing to focus exclusively on creating healthy, confident smiles through orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. For over 25 years, Dr. Douglas Nguyen, Dr. Sean Truong, and their dedicated team have had the privilege of serving our community — caring for families, building lasting relationships, and helping generations of patients smile with confidence.

Dr. Sean Truong has been passionately creating beautiful, healthy smiles for children, teens, and adults since 2006. After many years of working side by side with Dr. Douglas, he is honored to continue the legacy of Douglas Orthodontics. As Dr. Sean takes the lead, patients can expect the same trusted care, compassion, and commitment to excellence that have always defined our practice. WHEN TO SEE THE ORTHODONTIST

The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that all children have a check-up with an orthodontist specialist no later than age 7. At this time, the bite begins being establish when the first molars erupt (approximately age 6). The incisors or the front teeth have also begun to erupt at this time and problems can be detected such as crowding, habits, deep bites and some jaw discrepancies. Although most kids do not need treatment at this time, a timely evaluation will lead to significant treatment benefits moving forward and the immediate benefit of a parent's peace of mind. Adolescents and adults with fully developed dentition can seek a consultation from an orthodontist at any time.

Metal Braces

Traditional metal braces consist of standard metal brackets adhered to your teeth with an adhesive and connected by a wire. They require periodic tightening so light pressure can begin to straighten your teeth.  They are still the most common used options today.

Clear Braces

Like metal braces, clear braces are still adhered to your teeth and still typically require a metal wire. The difference is the material the bracket is made. Clear braces are typically made of ceramic and are stain resistance.

Invisalign

Invisalign treatment consists of clear sets of removable aligners custom fitted to your teeth. You must wear them 20-22 hours a day and change your set of trays at set intervals as your teeth straighten. 

I can't recommend this place enough! The team here completely transformed my smile and gave me the perfect, straight teeth I asked for. Everyone is super professional, sweet, and made the whole process way easier than I expected. Their staff are all so close and like a family it's super cute. Hillary and Ashley helped me take my braces off today. The team always explained everything step by step, always made me feel comfortable, and honestly cared about my results. I spent about 3 years with Dr. Douglas, Dr. Sean & Co. and have been satisfied after every visit. The appointments were always perfectly scheduled and changes were easy with how flexible they are. The staff were extremely accommodating and often reached out to me first before I even had the chance to reach the front desk. The braces I got are now removed, but even during my time with them, the ease of how they tightened the braces assured that I was in no pain. Now that I have my retainers, I no doubt trust them with my care in the future!

I just finished my 3 year treatment with this office and have nothing but great things to say! My teeth came out great but the patient care is what impressed me the most! My wife had her braces done here years ago (around 20years) and till this day people still ask her if her teeth are real because of how straight it is and it's shape evenly. Now my kids go here also. My son started his treatment back in June 2023, he had his 2 bottom teeth and impacted K9 removed before treatment. It only has been close to 2 years and his teeth are looking really good already. We took our daughter in for a consultation yesterday because my wife noticed that she has an underbite and would like to start Phase 1 treatment so it can help correct her jaw and prep her for Phase 2 when she have all of her permanent and molars out. Dr. Douglas Nguyễn & Dr. Sean Truong does GREAT work, transforming people SMILE everyday. Making them feel more confident and most importantly is that when all your teeth are straight you able to use all them. Besides having GREAT, TALENTED Orthodontists here, they also have a GREAT TEAM of workers who are very polite, welcoming, gentle on my kids, and very knowledgeable. I had such a great experience with Dr. Douglas and his team! Him and his team have also helped correct the smiles of my older siblings so there was no doubt who would be my orthodontist after seeing their smile. From day one, the process was smooth, professional, and clearly explained.

The office is super clean and well-run. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable, and appointments were always on time. I also really appreciated the no-interest payment plan and how upfront they were about the entire treatment process--no surprises.

On the day I got my braces off, Karen and Cristal were amazing! They made sure I was comfortable, explained everything as they went, and helped make the experience feel exciting instead of nerve-wracking.

Now that treatment is complete, I'm beyond happy with the results--my smile looks incredible!

The only minor downside is that most appointments are scheduled mid-week, which can be a bit tough to juggle with work or school. But honestly, the level of care and the final results made it totally worth it.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Dr .Douglas and Dr. Sean for many years. I am a dentist and my patients are very important to me and I am protective of them and the care they receive. So when I do refer my young and older patients for braces and orthodontic treatment I want to make sure they receive quality care. Me and my parents chose this place for me to get my braces out of all our other options! I'm so glad we did because Dr. Sean, Dr. Douglas, and all the other orthodontist assistants are so careful and attentive with my teeth, braces, and progress every time I come in for an appointment. I always leave with no long wires poking me and everything in place as they always make sure to double check how my braces look and feel for me at the end of every adjustment. The staff at the front are always welcoming and kind when they see me and help me make my next appointment too. The office is always so clean, and I love the music they play in the background lol! They always provide complimentary toothbrushes and wax, which is such an amazing plus. Just an overall amazing experience and place to get your braces done at.
